Blair Callaway is in his twenty-sixth year of teaching and his tenth year as director of the Heritage High School "Legion of Generals." Prior to Heritage High School, Blair was the band director at Gilmer High School in Ellijay, GA; Foley High School in Foley, AL; Alma Bryant High School in Irvington, AL; and Russellville High School in Russellville, AL. Blair is a 1982 graduate of Ringgold High School, and received his Masters of Arts Degree from the University of North Alabama in Florence, AL and his Bachelors of Science Degree from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL.
He has marched with the Guardsmen, Cavaliers and Suncoast Sound Drum and Bugle Corps. Blair is a member of the Music Educators National Conference, Georgia Music Educators Association, American School Band Directors Association, Georgia Association of Jazz Educators, Phi Beta Mu and the Epsilon Nu Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He is currently serving as President of the ASBDA. Blair is an active member of GMEA serving on the Georgia Music Selection Committee and hosting the District 7 Honor Band. He was the 2006 Foley High School Teacher of the Year. Blair is a church pianist and a member of the Tara Winds. He has judged and served as a clinician in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana. His concert bands have performed at the University of Georgia, Troy University, Loyola University and will perform at the University of Alabama in 2016. His bands have performed in the Fiesta Flambeau Parade, Fiesta Bowl Parade, Blue Cross/Blue Shield National Band Championships, the Boscov's Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Atlanta Festival of Trees Parade, and the GMAC Bowl Parade. His bands have also performed at a St. Louis Cardinal's baseball game, Walt Disney World, Epcot Center, and Universal Studios.
Bill Wynn is the Director of Bands at Heritage Middle School and is the Assistant Director of Bands at Heritage High School. Since opening in 2005, Heritage Middle School has had its symphonic, jazz, and percussion ensembles earn superior and grand champion ratings throughout the Southeastern United States. Mr. Wynn began the band program at Heritage Middle School after four years at Tyner Academy in Chattanooga, TN. Bill has performed with many famous groups in the Chicago area such as the Ravinia Festival Orchestra, the Elmhurst Symphony, the DuPage Symphony, and more.
In Chicago, Mr. Wynn also taught brass lessons, master classes, and music theory at the MERIT School of Music. In addition to his resposibilities at Heritage, Mr. Wynn is currently the low brass instructor at Cadek Conservatory of Music in Chattanooga, TN and performs with the Chattanooga Symphony, Enigma Tuba Quartet, and the Chattanooga Trombone Quartet. Current and former members of Mr. Wynn's brass studio have been top All-State members in six states, principal players in the Chicago, Chattanooga, and St. Louis Youth Symphonies, and members of the Governor's Honors Programs in Georgia, Tennessee, and Illinois. Mr. Wynn is a member of the Music Educators National Conference, Georgia Music Educators Association, Eastern Tennessee Band & Orchestra Association and the International Trombone Association.
